Another thing that’s making the Red Man brand popular is it’s sponsorship in a growing in popularity sport in the states, NASCAR Racing. Beginning in 2010 Red Man joined Baker-Curb Racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series as sponsor of car #27 with Greg Biffle of Rousch-Fenway Racing as driver. Johnny Sauter drove at Nashville. This team and sponsor plan on 10 to 15 races in 2010. This venture, by a smokeless tobacco company, into what’s been called the fastest growing sport in the U.S. is not the first brand to do so, Longhorn Smokeless tobacco has done the same thing with Kevin Harvick and his racing team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series as well. But the commonality is with the manufacturing company of both brands, Swedish Match! |
